City Grill to Close with Plans for Renovations as catalyst for East And Alex

“Effective Thursday November 28, 2019, City Grill Restaurant will be closing its doors after a beautiful 5 year run. After much deliberation the owners and management have made the decision to close due to complications from the coinciding re-construction of what was East Avenue Inn and Suites. The management team is currently working on a renovation and reconstruction plan of 384 East Avenue in hopes of Re-opening alongside of the new Hotel.

The current goal of the team is to use these two renovation efforts as a way to be a catalyst for the re-brand of East and Alex, pushing this neighborhood to its fullest potential, in partnership with all of our neighbors and the East and Alex committee with the same effort. 

The event spaces at Ballroom 384 will continue to be active and inquiries will be responded to by our Events and Sales team. 

The management team does not yet have an expected date of completion but will be sure to keep the community updated as the anticipation of the city is already being felt. 

We would like to thank the City of Rochester for the consistent patronage and for being so amazing through the years, as without your massive support this team would not have been able to be as successful as they were. Please stay tuned for what 384 East Avenue will have to offer this nostalgic neighborhood.
